The Club has recently invested over £900 on brand new training jibs for the RS Visions. These are now in bags in the sail locker ready for use. Furling gear has been attached and ziplocked in place to prevent accidental removal. Please ensure these are kept on the new jibs.
The committee feel that these should be made available for members to use but we ask that they are treated respectfully. Please try and keep them clean, avoid rolling them up on the muddy floor if possible. Please be sure to wash them if you get them dirty. If you think the conditions are likely to make capsize a risk please use a mast float. After use please ensure they are neatly rolled and returned to the container. In short please treat them as you would if you had bought them yourself.
The old sails are now rolled up and in the buffer changing room. They are available if you feel that you would be happier to use an old one.
The priority is to be able to provide these sails for club organised events and training. The committee reserves the right to withdraw them from general use if it is felt that they are showing signs of being damaged or misused..
