The club actively encourages and supports junior and youth dinghy sailing for the under 18s.
We run Youth RYA level 1 & 2 training courses which are available juniors aged 8 years+
To promote junior and youth involvement within the club, and their enjoyment and development as sailors, we hold a number of informal training sessions with some of the clubs most experienced sailors as well as youth only racing sessions.
These run on Saturdays between March and September, the 2026 dates are:
9th May, 23rd May,
6th June, 20th June,
4th July, 18th July
1st August, 15th August, 29th August
12th September, 26th September
We also have cruising sessions on Fridays, open to all members, during which people are free to build on their skills, experiment with new techniques or generally have fun! For those looking for a real competitive challenge, club racing is also open to youth sailors.
