The 2025 Attenborough Sailing Club Laying Up Supper is to involve a Scalextric event. All are welcome, young and old.
Saturday, 29th November.
Start time will be 7 pm, with half an hour for people to familiarise themselves with the circuit.
For racing, we will need to limit to 30 people. We could then run 15 x 2-minute races in the first hour (7.30 – 8.30).
From 8.30 to 9.30, we will serve Pizzas and also run a Top Gear Time Trial. Each racer drives 3 laps in an identical car, and time is recorded.
From 9.30 to 10.30, we repeat the 15 x 2-minute races. We will try and organise it so people race different people.
At 10.30, we will tally up the points scored and award a trophy for the overall winner and for fastest lap. Maybe a separate prize for the fastest junior.
Places are limited to 30, so don’t leave it to the last minute to book.
