As we all got excited on Sunday night for the course to start on Monday, unfortunately it had to be postponed due to storms. However as all great sailors know, safety is vital and must come first. We were delighted to hear that Wednesday and Thursday could go ahead and we all had an amazing time.
Some of the highlights included lots of time on the water, capsize drills and fun games. We learnt about how to sail across the wind control the boat, steer and had lots of fun . Although there was banter throughout with siblings and new friends, and some strange questions whilst on the boats (cheese) we all had so much fun and learnt loads, ready to continue our journey with sailing. Everyone successfully passed their level 1 and we can’t wait for level 2 and beyond. We are really grateful to all of the grown ups who helped us and taught us so much! See you on the water (hopefully not in it)! Emma
