Due to Wanlip Sailing Club’s visit and at the request of both Attenborough and Wanlip sailors, we’ve made a small change to the race schedule. The Pursuit Race has been moved to Sunday 17th August with a 2pm start. This change is now reflected on the website and in Dutyman.
If you’re new to sailing or racing, the Pursuit Race is a great place to start! Unlike other races that use a handicap system, the slowest boats set off first and the fastest start later — so your finishing position on the water is your final place.
This means fewer boats crowding the start line, clearer air around the course, and a great chance to build confidence and have fun.
