Despite the cold… the Compound Clean up makes further progress.

Despite the cold, even more committed ASC members made it down to continue improvement works at the Club, on a cold and initially misty Saturday morning – 21st January.

Building on the brilliant works executed by the committed Casuals on Friday afternoon, the list of jobs already ticked off the task list now include:
* Committee Boat improvements
* Mast rack area cleared of vegetation and brambles
* Changing Room Heater timer installed in the Ladies
* More Boat plots near to track cleared of brambles
* further progress on the Compound lighting

The Pontoon Platoon progressed their improvement works after much planning, as the morning mist lifted, to provide clarity of vision. Great progress in securing the Metal Grid formerly providing the link to the barge now installed as the corner piece to the main pontoon.

The cold proved the value of the now traditional mid-session break for Coffee and warmed Pastries, as well as to warm peoples’ hands and fingers! As the sun climbed and strengthened, so the mist was burned off, revealing idyllic views across the pond. It’s such a great environment!

So, why don’t you come on down to the Club on any Friday afternoon or Saturday morning between now and the first weekend in March (inc.). These works will make it so much easier for: more of us | to get out on the water | more of the time this coming season.
