Hi, Peter Hampshire is arranging some Race Officer training. If you think you may be interested in being a Race Officer at some time in the future, or are just curious what a Race Officer does, please come along to one of the sessions below.
Peter plans to run the same session on a couple of different evenings of the week, to try and suit a range of people’s availability.
These are:
- Wednesday 27th March at 7:30 pm – last Weds before the new Spring Series of Wednesday evening races starts
- Friday 5th April at 7:00 pm – to allow some overlap with the Social Sailors
- Sunday 7th April at 6:00 pm – following the regular Sunday racing
If you would like to know more about what’s involved in being a Race Officer, including the post-sailing elements, new for 2024, please would you aim to attend at least one session?
Aspects to be covered will include:
- Pre-arrival at ASC items to consider
- Pre-race aspects
- Post-race duties at ASC
- Post-race tasks, once back home
