Casual Sailing 2019

The end of the season for Casual sailing.

I don’t know if anyone will be sailing today, Saturday 30th November, but for the Friday sailors, yesterday was the end of the season.

It felt strange packing my boat up for the last time last night. It felt very final. Glad we were able to have a good sail. The wind was light, but enough to keep moving well and it was sunny. Sailing into the sunset !!!

I’ve been sent a picture taken by Ian Redfern yesterday. Thanks Ian, a great picture.

It has been a really good season. Started on Friday 1st March. We’ve had a good turnout of enthusiastic casual sailors. Plus the junior sailors have been out in good numbers on both Fridays and Saturdays.
The BBQ got regular use through the season. We hope to have more social events next year.

A big thank you to everyone who has helped in making this year’s casual sailing a success. Particularly Louis, Tom and Oliver. Looking forward to seeing you next year.

The racing will continue through December on Sundays. So there is the opportunity for casual sailors to sail on a Sunday if you want. Will any of you be joining the Sunday sailing?
