Four of us sailed the annual Cold Turkey race in what was ideal winter sailing conditions.
Mike Pritchard acted as OOD and two brave souls manned the safety boat on what was a cold day for just sitting in a boat.
With a steady 4 to 5 from the west a good course was set for the event with plenty of reaches across the lake and an easy beat back.
Kevin Milton set the pace on the course but although Jon Adams started well found himself following Kevin Last after a capsize. In last place from start to finish was your truly, Roger Day. After capsizing in exactly the same place as Jon a lap later just meant the gap increased.
After correction for handicap Kevin Last won followed by Jon Adams, Kevin Milton and Roger Day.
A good race followed by a pint in the clubhouse. Anyone for Notts County on 1st January for the Geoff Parker memorial?
