Cygnet Series 3rd Race 6th May 2017. The race started out with 3 competitors but then the wind gave a huff and a puff and it blew Thomas down leaving two behind to complete in the harsh conditions. David led the race but Iona was close behind. The finishing results were David with a whopping 1st place for the first time in his sailing career with Iona 22 seconds behind him in 2nd place. The wind was high and everybody tried very hard even if they couldn’t finish the race.
After the race Keith discussed knots and the 5 essentials,
(Trim, Balance, Sail, Course and Dagger board). After which Thomas and David sailed ‘follow my leader’ with Keith coaching from the safety boat.
