DESCRIPTION:With the Summer series completed we have a change of format to run Pursuit Racing using local ASC Handicaps on September 10th 17th and 29th. \nThe start for the first boats will be at 13:45 and will run for 90 minutes from this start. Other start times will be published in the start cabin. \nEach day a 45 minute handicap will run following the Pursuit race.

DESCRIPTION:Comet Association Championship 2017\n26th –27th August 2017\nLocation:\nAttenborough Sailing Club\, Barton Lane\, Attenborough\, Nottingham NG9 6DY \nType of Water:\nAttenborough Sailing Club is a 65 acre site with a few islands\, beside the river Trent and Attenborough Nature Reserve\, an area highly valued for its wildlife. \nAccess:\nASC plans to open the club at 6.00pm on Friday to allow for early arrivals. Location about 4 miles south west of Nottingham\nAnd about 8 miles east of Derby \nAccommodation:\nLocal hotels and guesthouses can be found from the usual Internet sites.\nWe have a car park where parking of cars and caravans will be allowed and limited areas of grass on site where people can site tents. \nRaces:\nThere will be 5 races with one discard\nASC will ask that people arrive and sign on between 8.30am and 10.30am on the Saturday and there will be a briefing from the Race Officer at around 10.30am \nNOR:\n\nFull NOR\n\nRacing signals will not be before 11:00am on the first day and not after 3:00pm on Sunday. \nRegistration:\n\nPlease register here\n\nPlease Note:\nComet sailors need to be members of the Comet Class Association to participate. Charges:\nAdvance payment will be £30 before 25th August 2017\nPayment on 26th August 2017 will be £35. \nFood:\nASC propose to offer breakfast sandwiches with tea or coffee for both days at £2.50\nLunch on Saturday will be Pork pie/cold meat salad at £5\nEvening meal on Saturday will be a Chinese meal at £5\nSunday lunch will be a barbeque after sailing and before prize giving at £5 \nASC are planning to arrange a pre-order arrangement on line.\nEarly payment discount before 25th August 2017\, for all meals will £15.\nDrinks will be on sale throughout Saturday and Sunday. \nASC will be providing entertainment on Saturday for both visitors and club members. \nSponsors:\nWe would like to thank our sponsors Noble Marine for assisting in the purchase of prizes. \nview/download poster

DESCRIPTION:view/download poster\nOnce again the Comet Open is being hosted at Attenborough on May 13th\, as in previous years this has always been well attended with our members and visitors. \nWe would encourage as many members with Comets to have a go at this event\, open to all abilities and experience\, so do join in. \nThis event is open to everybody with a Comet (you do not have to be member of the Comet association) and Cost £10 for 3 races and includes lunch. \nIf you are not available to participate would it be possible to loan your Comet to another member to experience this great event and promote Attenborough as one of the best events in the Comet circuit. \nAttenborough will also be holding the Comet Association Championship over 26th/27th August\, put this date in your diary and is a real coup for our club\, not to be missed. \nFor further details contact myself or any member of the sailing committee. \nMalcolm Davidson
