Jill has been a part of the ASC training team for many years and during a cold week in February 2018 she successfully completed the RYA’s Dinghy Instructor Course at Swarkestone Sailing Club. Read Jill’s story in the next Telltales issue.
A lovely balmy and sunny day so 12 boats race this Sunday in the Snowdrop series. Both races were won by Kevin Last with a great performance in the second race from Jill Reid who came second overall.

Sunday 4th March sees the start of the 2018 sailing season at Attenborough with two races for the Snowdrop series at 14:00hrs and 16:00hrs. Just in time the weather is also warming up and we will have some light winds for the first races. Wednesday night racing and casual sailing start week commencing 26th March.
The 2018 PYs were announced today by the RYA. Little has changed but a Laser can now go 3 seconds slower in a race in 2018 than 2017 against Phantoms, Larks and Supernovas and reflects poorly on our Laser sailors!
