Welcome to Attenborough Sailing Club
Attenborough Sailing Club is located about 4 miles south west of Nottingham, and about 8 miles east of Derby, United Kingdom (see regional map and detailed map). The club enjoys the use of 'Coneries Lagoon' (65 acres) beside the River Trent and Attenborough Nature Reserve, an area highly valued for its wildlife. This makes it perfectly placed if you live in Nottingham, Derby, Ilkeston & Long Eaton area. Our members enjoy a variety of racing, cruising and social activities. We pride ourselves on the friendly atmosphere of our club and new members are always welcome!

The club races take place on Sundays and Wednesday evenings during the spring and summer, and the supports a wide number of different classes of dinghy, particularly Lasers. Other popular classes are the Graduate, Mirror, Enterprise, and increasingly the Fireball, Phantom and Supernova. Start lines of 25 - 30 boats are not uncommon. Interested? Have a look at this video.

Learn to sail at Attenborough
A range of courses to suit individual needs is offered by the club. The club
is affiliated to the RYA and is a RYA recognised teaching establishment. Learning
to sail can be accomplished over a couple of weekends, and for only a limited
cost. Courses have been very popular over the last couple of years, with demand
for places outstripping availaibility. If you are interested in learning to
