October saturdays

The evenings are drawing in but we still have the beautiful autumn days to enjoy.

In October, the weather is likely to be variable. If it carries on like summer, hopefully we'll still have some nice sailing days. If it becomes winter, perhaps things will change. Remember that November onwards we can't sail without a safety boat on the water.

Oct 4th: We'll be down about lunch time to open up the club house.
Oct 11th: The safety boat course is on, so there will be people around all day.
Oct 18th: We plan to be there from lunch time, as above.
Oct 25th: We can't make it down. Club rules state that there needs to be more than one boat out, so if you plan to come down make sure you are not the only one. It is useful to post here so that people can see that you are coming.

Note for new members: Club gates are normally kept locked when there is casual sailing. If you dont have your key yet, let me know (here or PM) and I'll make sure we can let you in at the relevant time. Once you have your key this gets you access to the changing rooms, but not the sail store or club house. Myself, or another keyholder can open these.

Finally, a note about winter casual sailing. I expect demand for casual sailing to drop off over winter and therefore we wont continue with Saturday sailing. Sunday races continue, of course. If you are keen for Saturdays to continue, drop me a message.
