Wednesday 4th February 2015
This week we are heading to the Nottingham AND Nottinghamshire Camra Pub of the Year 2013 and 2014.
Horse and Jockey, 20 Nottingham Road, Stapleford NG9 8AA.
For those of you who know Stapleford, the Jockey is just up from the crossroads called 'The Roach', just behind the Police Station.
A warm welcome, a warm log fire, a pub quiz and 10 superbly kept real ales to sample.
See you there 20.30 hrs.

Don't forget Wednesday 11th Feb, we are visiting the National Winter Ales Festival at the Roundhouse in Derby. Doors open 4.00 pm.

Last week saw a poor turn out on the start line and possibly influenced the outcome of our score in the quiz.

Brian has decided to make a long session of it on Wednesday this week and visit the beer festival in Derby. This wasn't the only reason but we didn't reach a decision on where to meet. Open to offers.

Not a great turnout last week at the winter beer festival in Derby. A great time was had by me and Claire though, unfortunately we didn't see Brian.

As Claire is working this week the decision for the next travellers venue lies with me, so I nominate the Cadland in Chilwell as tonights venue where there is a large selection of tasty draught beers available.

I will see everyone there at 8.30pm.

This week we are returning to the Victoria Hotel, Dovecote Lane, Beeston NG9 1JG.
We make no apologies for re-visiting this well respected and excellent hostellery at least twice a year. Always a superb selection of fine ales to sample.

Wednesday 11th March
This week we are heading for a different venue, The Falcon, 1 Alfreton Road, Canning Circus, Nottingham NG7 3JE

http://www.thefalconinn.co.uk/

The Falcon Inn is situated at the centre of Canning Circus and has been refurbished in its original style as a cosy, traditional pub offering a welcoming atmosphere where people can meet up and socialize over a quiet drink.
The selection of eight quality Real Ales, from microbreweries near and far, are served with perhaps an emphasis on the Lincoln Green brewery at Hucknall.
It's not one of the largest pubs we've been to so if you cannot find anyone, try looking in the Sir John Borlase Warren next door.
I shall be in South Pembrokeshire on that night so wish you all a pleasant evening.
