The Summer Series comes to an end.

The Summer Series comes to an end.

What a series, if Carlsberg made sailing races then this would be one. Right down to the last race, only two-point between 1 – 2 and 3 and 4 equal on points. 5th places was another 2 points behind. Just wow.

The battle for 1st and 2nd was Won by Duncan over Mike, sadly mike could not attend the last race which was a shame. 3rd place was Jill Reid and sneaking into 4th equal on point was Roger Day in his Gull.

We had a great racecourse set by Rich Chaney, a nice breeze following down the lake, everyone had a great days racing.

Race two was split into the Fast and slow. Fast fleet was Kevin last in his Supernova and Duncan in his Phantom, would have been a close race until Kev practised his dry capsize. Which gave Duncan his 8th Bullet in the series taking the win over Bob C in the supernova and Mr K I don’t check the results, Milton, in 3rd place.

The Slow Fleet had more entrants While Mike had won the series without taking to the water it was another battle between the radial of Jill and Gull of Roger. All Roger needed to-do was Win the race. Which he did. And took 2nd place by .5 of a point.
