A full club barge was entertained on Wednesday night (5th April) by mine hosts, Don Bishop and Florence Lowe to an evening of pizza and quiz. Delving in to the great quiz almanacs, Don certainly got heads scratching with round one. Things got a lot easier wfor the later picture and sailing rounds and when we got to cardinals the Days had it. Winners were team “Wild Days to Run Amok” led by Gillian and Roger Day, with second place going to DAMNJAG a team of past and present committee members.
The draught beer ran out halfway through although Don had the foresight to buy in a few crates of bottled beer which was well received.
A good night and an excellent turnout justified the decision to tag the supper on to a race night.
