Paul Jago Wins Final Race to Win Autumn Series Overall

Attenborough’s top two sailors went head to head on Sunday to see who would win overall in the Autumn. Race Office Kevin Milton set a challenging course in sunny but blustery conditions. In the first race, Kevin Last led from the start and extended his lead on each of the four laps and comfortably winning the race. After a slow start Paul Jago battled his way through the fleet and ended up a creditable sixth on the water behind five Supernovas. On corrected time he came second overall which meant that with one race to sail, Paul was winning overall by 6 points to 7.

Second race was in equally testing conditions and after one lap Kevin Last was winning and equal first overall but Paul Jago soon got in the groove and eventually won the last race by 20 seconds on corrected time from Kevin Last and thus ensured he retained the Autumn Cup.

Overall Results:
1st: Paul Jago Streaker 7pts
2nd: Kevin Last Supernova 9pts
3rd Kevin Milton Phantom 18.8pts
4th Roger Day Supernova 23pts
