Race 1 saw excellent starts by the majority of the fleet. Duncan Adams quickly powered clear of the fleet rounding the windward mark first followed by Robin Kirby, Matt Williams and Iain Barlow. Duncan extended his lead around the five lap course with the first three maintaining their positions throughout despite a few capsizes. After a poor start, local sailor Kevin Last fought his way through the fleet, finishing fourth. Further down the fleet the occasional strong gusts cause a few capsizes, especially at the gybe mark and resulted in numerous fleet changes.
Duncan and Robin had clear starts and powered ahead of the rest of the fleet. Iain Barlow was too close to the pin end and in pinching to round caused a multi boat collision. In the stronger wind, Duncan gained but was pulled back as the wind dropped. On the first lap Kevin Last passed Robin and the two had a close race throughout the four lap course with Kevin eventually coming third behind Robin and race winner Duncan Adams. Tony Bleasdale was fourth with Keith Johnson 5th.
Increasing winds and back to back race led to 12 entries in race 3. Robin Kirby rounded the windward mark first followed by Duncan Adams and Matt Williams. On the second lap Duncan passed Robin playing the shifts well and after close racing with positions changing, Duncan slowly edges ahead to win from Robin and Matt. Tony Bleasdale came fourth whilst after a good start Keith Johnson had to retire with a broken rudder. The rest of the fleet had close racing with Serena Stewardson in her cut down rig keeping up with the middle-fleet.
After close racing amongst the large local contingent, Dave Bexson came fifth ahead of Bob Ceurstemont.
